PURPOSE:To obtain a sensitizer having high sensitivity and good storage stability by adding a specific oxim compound to a color forming layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermosensitive recording material is provided with a color forming layer containing a usually colorless or light-colored color forming substance and a developer allowing said substance to develope a color at the time of heating and an oxim compound represented by general formula (I) is added to the color forming layer. The oxim compound is finely pulverized up to a mean particle size of 10mum or less and, further, the color forming substance, the developer and, if necessary, other vaious additives are finely pulverized in the same way and these pulverized components are combined to prepare a coating solution. This coating solution is applied to paper or a film of every kind to obtain the thermosensitive recording material. The addition amount of the oxim compound is changed according to required capacities and recording aptitude as well as the kinds and amounts of the used color forming leuco dye, the developer and other additives but usually set to 0.05-10 pts. per 1 pts. of the color forming leuco dye. This thermosensitive recording material has high sensitivity and excellent storage stability. |
