PURPOSE:A monomer gas is supplied from the porous pipe that is set near on the surface of the running film and the addition polymerization of the monomer is effected on the running film in the discharge chamber to form a thin film, thus producing a composite semipermeable membrane efficiently. CONSTITUTION:As a monomer gas is being fed from the porous pipe 8 that is set near the film on the roll, evacuation is effected to keep the pressure in the chamber 1a 0.1-10Torr and discharge is effected between electrodes 2 and 3. A part of electrons formed passes through the anode 2 to reach the surface of the film running on the roll 7. The monomer fed from the porous pipe 8 is activated by the collision with the electrons to polymerize and form a high-polymer thin film on the running film f. Since the porous pipe 8 is set near the film on the roll, the concentration of the monomer gas becomes high on the film surface to accelerate the formation of the high-polymer thin film. |
