PURPOSE:To easily send an abort pattern from a sender side to a receiver side by inhibiting prescribed bit insert and delete processing for securing communication transparency in a network in a packet transmission system sending a data string via a network. CONSTITUTION:An output data string from an HDLC terminal equipment 1 is subjected to prescribed signal processing by a communication peripheral device DV2 and a cell processing section CP3 and sent between ATM-SW9, 11 via a high speed digital line 10. The CP6 and the DV7 apply prescribed decoding processing and the transmission data string of the terminal equipment 1 is received by a terminal equipment 8. When the DV2 deletes a start flag and detects an abort pattern (AP), the pattern including the AP is regarded as one data string, a PAD is added and the result is transferred to the CP3 and the data is aborted till a start flag detection of a succeeding data string. Then the transmission from the CP3 to the terminal equipment 8 is processed independently of the normality of the data string and since the AP exists at the end of the data string, the terminal equipment 8 aborts the data string. Thus, the AP is easily received at the receiver side without provision of any special identification bit. |
