PURPOSE:To improve the color tone stability and fragrance stability of a soap composition that contains a specific degenerating perfume by incorporating a specific higher fatty acid in a specific amount ratio. CONSTITUTION:Into a soap composition comprising at least one degenerating perfume selected among eugenol, isoeugenol, vanillin, ethylvanillin, isobutylquinoline, musk ketone, coumarin, heliotropine and helional, an 8-10C higher fatty acid is incorporated in an amount of 0.5 to 8wt.% based on the total amount of the soap composition. This soap composition is free from problems accompanying the conventional soap compositions, such as the loss of fragrance or discoloration which is ascribable to the presence of a degenerating perfume. This soap composition emits strong fragrance which is hardly lost during long-term storage, and has remarkably improved color tone stability. |
