Improved process for the chlorination of water characterised in that a chlorine tank, an ejector and a vacuum regulator are installed in a water piping circuit, the ejector comprising a body for the passage of water provided with a venturi and a water non-return valve and a support for a pressure-indicating pressure gauge, an inlet for chlorine as dry powder or as a solution in water, a pressure regulator and a water purger, the vacuum regulator being installed at the outlet from the chlorine tank in an arrangement compatible with the ejector, and so that the latter creates the vacuum necessary for the chlorine to be incorporated in the circuit in the desired quantity, the said quantity being controlled by the vacuum regulator. <IMAGE>
