An encapsulation 1 for a chalk decomposer 1A, preferably for use directly in the drums of washing machines and in water systems. The encapsulation 1 is constructed as a sphere having a requisite number of holes 2 for the passage of water. Placing the chalk decomposer 1A directly in the drum of the washing machine results in the water being constantly magnetized; this increases the effect of the chalk- decomposing process while at the same time the construction of the encapsulation 1 as a sphere ensures that the contents of the laundry are not damaged. <IMAGE>
