The taper lock bush assembly is for securing the hub (1) of a component on a cylindrical shaft (3). It includes an inner clamp bush (53) whose cylindrical bore is located on a flange bush (56) which enclouses the shaft (3). The external taper (17) on the clamp bush (53) locates a second taper bush (51) with matching internal taper. Equally spaced axial tension screws (14) which protrude through the end flange (54) on the inner taper bush (53), engage the outer taper bush in order to pull the tapers together so that the radial deformation of the taper bushes and the shaft bush (56) produce the required clamping between hub and shaft. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple, variable taper lock bush assembly provides increased torque transmission capacity. |
