PURPOSE:To generate vector data on a smooth and beautiful outline character by generating the vector data on the outline character by processing vector data on the contour line of a dot character by step and noise removal and correction based on four successive points. CONSTITUTION:An outline correction part 1-2 fetch the four successive points from the vector data 2 before correction. The straight line connecting the 2nd and 3rd points is found when the distance L1 between 1st and 2nd points and distance L3 between 2nd and 3rd points are both shorter than a specified distance L. When the 1st and 4th points are in the opposite area about the straight line and the 1st point is on the straight line, the 2nd point is skipped and then four successive points from a next point except the skipped point or a further next point are fetched when both of the distances L1 and distance L2 are larger than the specified distance L. The processing is performed repeatedly to generate the vector data 3 after the correction of the outline character from which coordinate data on skipped points are removed. Thus, the vector data on the smooth and beautiful outline character can be generated. |
