A device and a process are useful for monitoring the hardness and elasticity of the stringing of raquets for ball games such as tennis, squash or badminton, with high resolution of the results, which are therefore very accurate and of high reproducibility. The hardness and elasticity of the stringing are measured in parallel or consecutively in a measurement procedure. Until the actual monitoring measurement begins, any existing irregularities in the stringing or irregularities due to other external factors are eliminated by self-adjustment of the device. The monitoring measurement values are obtained by determining the resilience of the stringing produced by tension or pressure. This is transferred to a measurement part where it is evaluated electronically. The result can be read on a display. |
