PURPOSE:To give an excellent impact resistance and a good weatherability and to decrease the gelation time by compounding a vinyl chloride resin with a specific chlorinated ethylene-propylene copolymer. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin is compounded with 1.0-18 pts.wt. chlorinated ethylene-propylene copolymer having a chlorine content of 20-45wt.% and a Mooney viscosity (ML1+4, 100 deg.C) of 10-150. The copolymer is obtd. by chlorinating an ethylene-propylene copolymer having a propylene content of 15-40wt.%, a melt flow index of 0.01-5.0g/10min, a peak of melting measured with a differential scanning calorimeter of 80 deg.C or higher, a degree of crystallization measured with an X ray of 3% or higher, and a ratio of wt.-average mol.wt. to number-average mol.wt., i.e., an index of a mol.wt. distribution as measured by gel permeation chromatography, of 4 or higher. |
