PURPOSE:To enable correction of both distortion and shading by a method wherein a processing for emphasizing an edge for removal of shading of an image is executed by making use of a product-sum computing unit for corrective computation of distortion. CONSTITUTION:An inspecting device comprises a memory element 100 composed of a distortion correcting circuit 111 and an edge emphasizing circuit 112, a gate 101, a product-sum computing unit 102 and a latch circuit 103. For one detector number Sn, two processings of a distortion correction processing and an edge emphasis processing are conducted serially. First the distortion correction processing is executed. Next, the edge emphasis processing for removal of shading is executed. For this purpose, data D(J) after correction of distortion are stored in an edge emphasis memory 101K. Meanwhile, ROM 101E is selected by a switch 101F and an edge emphasis parameter corresponding to J is read out. These data D(J) and the edge emphasis parameter are sent to the product-sum computing unit 102 and product-sum computation is executed. This product-sum computation is computation for emphasizing an edge. An output of the product-sum computation obtained by this edge emphasis computation turns to be data after completion of the correction of distortion and the removal of shading. |
