<p>Epilating apparatus comprising, in a casing (1), a motor (2) whose shaft (3) drives an epilation tool (4) in rotation. According to the invention, the casing has a head (5) comprising at least one cam (7), whilst the epilation tool comprises, on the one hand, a cover (8) driven in rotation by the shaft and having openings (11) and, on the other hand, pulling-out means (12) passing through the openings and each comprising teeth (13) integral with a manoeuvring member (14) so that, during rotation of the cover, each pulling-out means can occupy either a pulling-out state, in which the bearing of the cam on the manoeuvring member brings the teeth closer against one another, in order to grasp the hairs, or a rest state, in which the manoeuvring member is free of the cam and the teeth are separated.
