The indicator assembly consists of a pair of lamppost indicators 1 on each side of the road in the form of a gate to the town, at a distance of 0.5 to 2 metres from the edge of the roadway and between 3 and 5 metres in height, and incorporating indicator lights 2 which make the indicators visible also at night, these being powered by high-power solar panels with electrical-energy accumulators 3 which are placed on the actual indicator or on the vertical column 4. It will be possible to add to the installation, in order to increase its efficiency, two protectors 5 located in the base of the indicators and a rumble strip 6 on the road surface between the indicators. <IMAGE>
