PURPOSE:To acquire a photoelectromotive element of uniform and high efficiency over a large area at a low cost by using polysilane compound which is expressed by a specified formula having weight average molecular weight of 6000 to 200000 as an organic semiconductor layer. CONSTITUTION:A Schottky junction type photoelectromotive element uses a straight chain polysilane compound which is expressed by a formula I and has a weight average molecular weight of 6000 to 200000 as an organic semiconductor layer. In the formula R1 expresses an alkyl group of carbon number of 1 or 2; R2 expresses an alkyl group of carbon number of 3 to 8, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group or an aralkyl group; R3 expresses an alkyl group of carbon number of 1 to 4; and R4 expresses an alkyl group of carbon number of 1 to 4. Furthermore, (n), (m) are a mole ratio expressing a rate of the number of each monomer to gross monomer in polymer; and n+m=1, where 0<n<=1, 0<m<=1. |
