Bending machine for ribbed steel rods - has ribbed rollers generating bending and supporting torque towards table

The machine bends ribbed steel rods used for concrete reinforcement, having fixed and travelling heads in a frame. Each of these has a central bolt (5), a holding roller (6) and a bending one (7,8), the latter travelling along curved paths centred on their bolts and parallel to the bending table (9). The bending rollers have grooves and ribs extending for their working height and generating, at the contact points with the rod (1), both a shaping bending torque and a supporting one in the direction of the table. ADVANTAGE - The free end of the rod does n ot angle upwards during the second bending stroke.
