PURPOSE:To offer a connector by which connection is facilitated in either a connecting method using a terminal stand or a modular-connector method by integrating a modular jack and a terminal block together to constitute a connector for communication equipment. CONSTITUTION:A modular jack portion 1 is provided with a core 2 and a line cord 3. The 4 disposed in the upper portion of the modular jack portion 1 is a terminal block portion and is provided with screws 5 by which connection of the terminal block portion to terminals is fixed. The modular jack portion 1 and the terminal block portion 4 are integrated together and electrical connection is carried out by means of either the core 2 of the line cord 3 or fixing of the screws 5; i.e., when a wire is connected to the end of the connecting cord of a telephone by connection method using a modular connector a modular plug 6 is inserted into the modular jack portion 1; when the end of the connecting cord of a telephone is separated into two terminals 8, each of the terminals 8 is connected to the terminal block portion 4. |
