The compositional material is used for production of cutting instruments. It ensures high adhesion of the surface to the base and improved exploitational characteristics of the cutting instruments. The compositional material is on a tungsten-titanium carbon nitride base with a surface of hardly-soluble compound, while the base contains additionally 0.005 - 0.1% mass of silicon.
