PURPOSE:To obtain a high Q value with atmospheric baking under normal air pressure by adding specific quantity of phosphoric acid (H3PO4) to oxide having a main component of Ba(Mg1/3Ta2/3)O3 to be molded, and then retaining the oxide for 4 hours or more at specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:Oxide, having a main component of Ba(Mg1/3Ta2/3)O3 having composite perovskite type structure, is added with phosphoric acid (H3PO4) and molded, then heated up to a temperature of 1,550 deg.C or higher at a heating-up rate of 100 deg.C/minute or less preferably 1-5 deg.C/minute, and retained for less than 32 hours at a temperature of 1,550 deg.C or higher. In this case, P resolved from phosphoric acid (H3PO4) reacts with a small quantity Ba and Mg of a Ba(Mg1/3Ta2/3)O3 phase, produces a liquid phase of a Ba-P-O system and Mg-P-O system, and promotes sintering. The added quantity of P is made larger than 0.005wt.% and less than 0.10wt.%. This permits atmospheric sintering in normal air not using a quick heating-up method, and manufacture of a dielectric resonator having a very high Q value of 25,000 or more in 10GHz. |
