An automatically blowing breaker comprises a casing 1 filled with a gaseous quenching agent containing two interacting contacts 2,3 of which at least one is connected to an operating device and arranged to be caused by the operating device to be moved in the casing between an on- and an off-position, and with a nozzle 4 of insulating material arranged therein, which when the contacts are in the on-position surrounds the nearest parts of the contacts and which is arranged to provide blowing for arc quenching. For at least one area 41,5 in the nozzle in contact with the gaseous quenching agent or in a gas collection chamber 5 for building up pressure connected to the nozzle, there is a gas-absorbing material in the form of a zeolite with the ability to absorb an amount of the gaseous quenching agent which is essentially larger than the material's own volume. <IMAGE> |
