It comprises a container (5) for metering the quantity of material, constituted by a bottom having a surface area equal to the surface area of the sheet to be produced and by side walls delimiting the perimeter of this sheet, the container being able to move between a filling position and a discharging position, the latter being located vertically in line with the member of the press (1) on which the layer of pulverulent material is formed, the bottom being mounted retractably in relation to the side walls, in order, in a first position, to block off the lower portion of the container and, in a second position, to free the lower opening of this container so as to allow discharge via the underside of the pulverulent material. According to the invention, the bottom includes a fixed portion (8) provided with orifices, and a portion which can move in relation to the fixed portion which, in a first position, blocks off the orifices and, in a second position, uncovers them in order to allow the product to drop out. <IMAGE>
