<p>PURPOSE:To detect an abnormality without using a steering angle sensor by judging a torque sensor to be abnormal if the fluctuation of the torque value is within the allowable value when the steering state is in the cutting state in detecting the abnormality of the torque sensor of an all-electric power steering device. CONSTITUTION:Output signals (a) and (b) of a torque sensor 1 and a vehicle speed sensor 3 are inputted to a CPU 4, and the drive current value (c) thus obtained is outputted to a comparator 6. Transistors 14-17 are controlled in response to the compared result with the motor current value from a current detector 2 and signals (d) and (e) determining the motor rotting direction to drive a motor 18. The motor inter-terminal voltage is detected, and the motor inter-terminal voltage (retrieving voltage) in the steer holding state for the motor voltage directed value is determined. Whether the steering state is in the cutting state, steer holding state or return state is judged based on these voltage, if the steering state is judged to be in the cutting state when the fluctuation of the torque is within the allowable value, the torque sensor 1 is judged to be abnormal.</p> |
