PURPOSE:To rotate and drive a cooling fan without specifically necessitating its driving source by providing a carriage with the cooling fan rotated and driven by the travelling power of the carriage and cooling an original platen. CONSTITUTION:When a first carriage 18 moves in a direction (a), the one-way clutch 51 of the cooling fan 23 is locked, the cooling fan 23 is rotated by driving power generated by the frictional power of rollers 25 and 26 and rails 27 and 28, and an original platen glass 16 is cooled. When the first carriage 18 exposes an image, in other words, moves in a direction (b), the one-way clutch 51 of the cooling fan is not locked, and the cooling fan 23 is not rotated. Therefore, vibration caused by the rotary power of the cooling fan 23 does not occur on the first carriage 18, and image blurring is prevented. Thus, the cooling fan 23 can be rotated and driven without necessitating a specific driving source for it. |
