PURPOSE:To exactly act a stable pushing force on a movable plug toward a prescribed direction by forming the front end parts of respective switching pins, which parts come into contact with the side face of the movable plug, to a spherical shape and disposing these switching pins in such a manner that the axial lines thereof align to each other and parallel with a connecting surface. CONSTITUTION:The front ends 2a, 3a of the switching pins 2, 3 to press the movable plug 1 are formed to the spherical shape. A stationary plug 5 which is fixed and mounted in a transversely immobile state on the mounting part 4a of a base plate 4, an optical fiber 6 which is fixed on one end side to the stationary plug 5 and the movable plug 1 respectively, the pressing member 8 which is moved by a solenoid 7, and a leaf spring for bringing the movable plug 1 into pressurized contact with the stationary plug 5 are provided. The movable plug 1 is adapted to switch the optical transmission path between the same and the stationary plug 5 by sliding by a prescribed quantity in the transverse direction of the movable plug 1 while maintaining contact with the connecting surface to the stationary plug 5. The switching of the optical transmission path is executed by the pressing force of the switching pins 2, 3. The exact moving action of the movable plug is assured in this way and the optical switch having the high reliability is obtd. |
