PURPOSE:To obtain high-quality images which are free from toner contamination and fogging by making combination use of a specific binder resin with specific inorg. fine powder. CONSTITUTION:An electrifying member is brought into contact with a body to be electrified and a voltage is impressed thereto from the outside to electrify the member. The member is developed by using the developer contg. the toner which contains the binder resin having 3 to 20 pts. wt. polymerizable monomer unit contg. a carboxyl group or the acid group consisting of the acid anhydride thereof in 100 pts. wt. binder resin and having 1 to 70 acid value and the hydrophobic inorg. fine powder treated with a silicone oil or varnish. The surface of this toner is constituted of the numerous acid groups and the inorg. fine powder treated with the silicone oil or varnish is strongly adsorbed on such toner surface. The adsorbed inorg. fine powder forms a thin film on the surface of a photosensitive body, thus preventing the flawing and toner sticking on the surface of the photosensitive body by the decreased friction resistance and surface energy. The high-quality images which are free from the toner contamination and fogging are thus obtd. |
