<p>PURPOSE:To enable plural item keyboard devices to use a special character pattern LP by searching a desired LP by referencing to an LP storage area and sending the LP to a display storage means for display if no LP to be displayed is not stored in an LP storage means. CONSTITUTION:The item data to be displayed at a display part 21 is produced, and the code of a single character is read out of the head of the item data. Then it is checked whether the character code is equal to the one stored in a ROM 27 of an item input keyboard device 10 or not. If so, it is checked whether the character code is already stored in an LP storage area 31b-2 of an item data file 31b or not. If not, an LP corresponding to the relevant character code is read out of a CG file 41a of a storage 31 and stored in an LP storage area 31b-2 of the file 31b in a pair with the character code. If an LP necessary for display is not stored in the ROM 27, the LP is called out by referencing to an LP storage area 23b and sent to a display storage means 24 for the display of the LP.</p> |
