Novel organic mixed complexes are provided which have the general formula D+.[A.TCNQ] wherein D+ is an N-alkylonium cation derived from a nitrogen-containing hetercyclic compound (D) selected from the group consisting of pyridines, guinolines, isoquinolines and imidazoles and [A.TCNQ] is an anion radical derived from a 2,5-bis[(alkoxycarbonyl)-ethyl]-7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (A) of the formula in which R is an alkyl group containing 1-10 carbon atoms, and 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ).
