The protective headwear is formed from a sleeve (1) of woven elastic material with an elastic band (2) embedded in one end. The opposite end of the sleeve may be closed by a cord or press-studs. The sleeve may then be folded to form a hat. A second sleeve (1A), open at both ends may be folded to fit around the neck, or the upper end may be extended upwards to protect the mouth and nose. ADVANTAGE - Easy application to head and neck.
