PURPOSE:To obtain the subject equipment suppressing discoloration of specular surface of mirror and keeping high light-converging efficiency for a long period of time in air by constructing with a laser light-generating means and a laser light-converging mirror comprising gold or platinum reflecting and converging laser light from said generating means to continuously supplied sample. CONSTITUTION:Said laser light-converging mirror 5 is a concave mirror constructed so as to have a vertical optical axis and a focus downwardly. Said mirror 5 is composed of reflecting surface of main body of the concave mirror made of copper, etc., applied with, e.g. gold metal plating. A hole 17 for piercing seed crystal 12 for pulling up at the center of the mirror 5. Then, laser light flux 4a is condensed at upper end part of sample 11 by the mirror 5 to melt the sample. Thus, the seed crystal 12 is dipped in said molten part and the seed crystal is pulled up to form single crystal fiber 14. In said case, the mirror 5 is heated with heat from molten part and as material of the specular surface part of the mirror is gold or platinum, thus oxidation and discoloration of reflection surface of the mirror 5 is able to be suppressed. |
