<p>PURPOSE:To approximately equalize a response of a rotary speed of a cylinder with a response of a traveling speed of a magnetic tape and to continuously read out recording information on the magnetic tape with the same circuit as the usual reproducing one by providing a limiter with a timing generator for giving timing. CONSTITUTION:The subject device is provided with the limiter 8 and the timing generator 11. When a mode is changed at the time of searching, a timing signal for operating the limiter 8 for a fixed period of time is outputted from the timing generator 11 to the limiter, and an error amt. to be outputted from a cylinder control circuit 7 to a D/A converter 9 is limited to a fixed value or less by the limiter 8 according to the timing signal. Consequently, the response of the rotary speed of the cylinder is approximately identical with the response of the magnetic tape traveling speed. By this method, even under a transient state of varying the magnetic tape traveling speed, the recording information on the magnetic tape can continuously be read out.</p> |
