PURPOSE: To provide a contact element which can pierce and connect a conductor by folding a flat thin plate in which notches are arranged in such a way as to extend in the longitudinal direction of the element. CONSTITUTION: In a flat thin plate, a rectangular part 1 located on each side of the triangular part 9" of an opening 9 curved along folding lines (a), (b) in order to form a rectangular channel forms a heightened, almost rectangular projecting part 1'. The latter is used to secure a contact element in a container. A curved part 7 also is curved inward along a folding line (c) so that a portion 7" having a notch 8 formed therein lies on a projecting lip 5. Finally, the end portion of the projecting lip 5 having the notch 6 is curved inward along a folding line (d). The edges of the notches 6, 8 are cut into the insulator of a conductor until making contact with a conducting core. |
