PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of specification point and partial load by providing, an outlet side throttle part having its path width converged in a tapered shape starting from a point where the dynamic pressure of fluid is almost recovered to the static pressure toward the scroll side, on the outlet part of the diffuser of a turbo compressor stated in the title. CONSTITUTION:The diffuser A of a turbo compressor is formed of a pair of mutually opposed side walls 2, 3 extending in the discharging direction of an impeller 1, and a scroll 4 is disposed continuously to the diffuser A. The diffuser A is constituted of an inlet part 5, intermediate part 6 and outlet part 7 having respectively different forms from the upstream side to the downstream side. In the outlet port 7 is formed an outlet side throttle part 7a having its tapered path width converging from a start point 10 where the dynamic pressure of fluid is almost recovered to the static pressure toward the scroll 4 side. Thus, flow in the proximity of the outlet part 7 is prevented from exfoliation to increase the static pressure while preventing back flow from the scroll 4. |
