<p>PURPOSE: To easily provide a small diameter toner, which is provided with a fixing property, offset resistance, and blocking resistance, by cross linking silane compounds on the surface layer part of a suspension polymerized toner. CONSTITUTION: A polymer for a polymer toner containing at least a coloring agent is provided with a polar group, and a silane compound is bound with the polymer on the surface of the polymer toner on the basis of an ethylene double bond, while a silanol group in the silane compound is bound with the polar group, so that the silane compound is cross linked on the polymer toner surface layer. For the silane compound possessing a double bond and a silanol group,γ-methacryloxy-propylmethyldimethoxysilane,γ- methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane,γ-methacryloxypropylmetyldiethoxysilane,γ-methacryloxypropyltriethoxy-silane, N-β-(N-vinylbenzylaminoethyl)-7- aminopropyltrimethoxysilane hydrochloride, or the like is used.</p> |
