In a removable branch box for an electric power line, a member 224 for applying pressure is actuated by a shaft 36 in order to apply a clamping pressure to the gripping arms 202 which grip the busbars 100. A stop system 300 is actuated by this same shaft in order to prevent the box from moving when the clamping pressure remains applied.
