<p>A method is described for transparentizing microencapsulated media material having a copolymer phenotic or vinyl glossing resin on a surface thereof. The material is applied to the nip of a pair of pressing rolls so that the resin surface comes into contact with an elastomer covered surface of a roll in the nip. The surface of the elastomer covered roll has a low surface energy. Temperature in the nip is maintained at below Tg, the free air glass transition temperature of the resin. Pressure in the nip is maintained between about 0.7 and 2.7 Kg.wt/cm.</p> |
