PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of an expensive external storage from a small-scale system by providing a display panel which displays the kind of a required EP-ROM and a socket necessary for safely fitting and removing the EP-ROM to and from a controller to the controller. CONSTITUTION:A socket 3 for EP-ROM provided with a display panel 2 and an interlocking switch 31 are provided on the surface of the controller 1 of an information processor. When the power supply to the controller 1 is turned on and the kind of the program to be loaded and data are displayed on the panel 2, the user of the processor selects the EP-ROM designated by the display out of previously prepared plural EP-ROMs and mounts the selected EP-ROM on the socket 3. Then the controller 1 reads the program and data written in the EP-ROM and makes necessary processes. Accordingly, the program and data stored in the requested EP-ROM can be loaded into the controller 1 without interrupting the power supply to the controller 1. Therefore, the necessity of an expensive external storage can be eliminated.
