The camera trolley has a movable chassis (1) and a vertical lift column (2) for adjusting the height of the camera. The lift column comprises telescopically movable column parts (3,4) driven by a double spindle assembly comprising a central upright support tube (8) which is rigidly connected to the outer coloumn part (3) and has at its top end a spindle nut (10) corresponding to the middle column part (4). A spindle nut (11) is provided at the top end of the centre column part and corresponds with the central column part (5). The middle column part is divided into a rotationally fixed section (12) which can move up and down inside the outer column part (3), and a rotatable section (14) which is coupled to a rotary drive (13). The rotatable section corresponds with the spindle nut at the top of the central support tube on one side and via the spindle nut with the central column part on the other side.$ ADVANTAGE - The lift column has a robust design yet functions silently.
