PURPOSE:To prevent a miscopy by setting a standard operating mode when the connection of a storage medium is released and inhibiting a mode control means from altering an operating mode when a copying machine is in trouble until the trouble is eliminated. CONSTITUTION:A control part is mainly composed of a main control part 201 controlling the action of the copying machine main body and an optical system control part 202 which controls the action of an optical system connected to the main control part 201 through a bus while communicating with each other. The control part loads data on the storage medium such as an IC card 200 and sets operating modes regulated by the data in a lump. When the connection is released, the IC card 200 sets the standard operating mode to the copying machine, and stores that when the connection of the copying machine to the storage medium or its release is executed with the copying machine being troubled, the mode control means is inhibited from altering the operating modes until the trouble is completely eliminated. Consequently, after the trouble is eliminated, an operator's desirable mode can be set to prevent a miscopy. |
