PURPOSE:To reproduce a recorded picture on a monitor corresponding to various coding and decoding systems or television systems by providing a data expanding decoding processing section to a pre-stage of a video processor section. CONSTITUTION:A data expanding decoding circuit section 40 is provided with plural kinds of data expansion decoders 40a, 40b, 40c with different data coding and decoding system, an input buffer 40d, an output buffer 40e and its decoding controller 40f. Then any of the data expansion decoders 40a, 40b, 40c corresponding to the data compression coding system of a picture signal stored with data compression coding at decoding is selected and its data expansion decoding processing is implemented and the television system conversion means is selected in response to the television system of a recorded picture and the television system of the recorded picture to apply the system conversion. Thus, even in the case of the picture signal picked up by the different kind of the TV system, the signal is monitored and reproduced effectively. |
