摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of the density irregularity and scumming of a recording image even in double-density recording by using a thermal transfer material having an ink layer containing a binder, which contains wax specified in its saponification value, and scaly pigment to move the same in a state rubbed with a material to be recorded. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer material 1 and a material 2 to be recorded are respectively moved in the directions shown by arrows A, B continuously by rotating a capstan roller 12, a pinch roller 13 and a platen roller 11 and recording is applied to the material 2 to be recorded. At this time, a head 3 is not moved and the thermal transfer material 1 is moved so as to become slower than the material 2 to be recorded. As mentioned above, since the thermal transfer material 1 is used while slide with the material 2 to be recorded, the non-uniformity of recording density or scumming is generated according to the characteristics of an ink layer 100 but scaly pigment 101a is dispersed in the ink layer 100 and wax having a saponification value of 70-140 is contained in the binder 101b of the ink layer 100. This wax is extremely fitted to the scaly pigment and the ink layer 100 is transferred so as to be divided into almost equal amounts at every one application of heat and a recording image uniform in density is obtained.
