PURPOSE:To shorten the preheating time until the engine start and to eliminate the unnecessary current flow by adding the circuit controlling the current flow time in response to a series of multiple preparatory actions to the circuit feeding a current to a glow plug after detecting an operation preparatory action such as opening the door. CONSTITUTION:When an operator opens a door, a switch 25 operates, holding a relay 21, then a temperature control comparator circuit 8 operates to turn a main relay ON. When a glow plug reaches 900 deg.C, the main relay is turned OFF. If the operator takes seat as the next preparatory action by this time, a seat switch 35 is opened, and the relay 21 is kept closed to continue the temperature control. If the operator does not sit down, the seat switch 35 remains OFF, and a transistor 27 is made OFF, thus releasing the relay 21. If a key switch is not turned ON with the operator remaining seated, the relay 21 is released by a timer after a preset time to stop the current flow. |
