PURPOSE:To prepare a composite damping steel plate excellent in both of weldability and adhesiveness by a method wherein a liquid resin is applied to metal plates so that the sum coating thickness of the resin in a dry state becomes a specific ratio with respect to the particle size of a filler to be dried and the resin coating surfaces of the metal plates are subsequently bonded under pressure to each other. CONSTITUTION:The upper and lower steel plates 4, 5 uncoiled from steel plate coils 1, 2 are coated with liquid resins on the upper surfaces thereof by resin coating devices 6 to be passed through drying ovens 7 to evaporate the solvents of the resins. The steel plates 4, 5 are bonded at the coating surfaces thereof under pressure by a heating roll group 8 to bond the resin surfaces thereof mutually and large bonding strength can be obtained. The resins are applied so that the sum thickness of the resins applied to the steel plates 4, 5 becomes a ratio of 0.8-1 with respect to the particle size of a filler after the drying of the resins. When the sum thickness of the resins is a ratio of below 0.8 with respect to the particle size of the filler, the resin thickness is relatively insufficient and no desired bonding strength can be obtained. When said sum thickness exceeds a ratio of 1, the steel plates can not be directly brought into contact with the filler and, as a result, conductivity is lowered and weldability is damaged.
|
