<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the reproduced signal of high reliability by regulating the height position of magnetic tape traveling in the lead part of a fixed lower drum. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic tape 32 is wound around a rotary head device and the travel is started, the upper side of a tape 32 is regulated by respective limiters 35a and 36a of tape guides 35 and 36 and the lower side of the tape is regulated by one lead 45 of a fixed lower drum 44. Thus, for the tape 32 to be wound around a taper-shaped tape contact guide surface 47 and to be traveled, the winding route of a rotary head side is increased to a lead side and the rotary head side is stretched. The tape tension of the rotary head side is increased to the lead side and the tape 32 is moved to the lead side. Then, the lower side edge of the tape 32 is regulated by the lead 45 and the tape 32 is traveled while generating regulation force to the lead 45.</p> |
