Device intended for positioning and removing pointing or mounted track elements without needing to resort to auxiliary devices (rails, tracks), characterised by a girder 1 sliding in two carriages fitted with two feet having three telescopic stages. This device is characterised either by the longitudinal movement of the girder in the two carriages (with the feet on the ground), or by the two carriages moving over the girder (with the feet not touching the ground). Furthermore, the feet are connected to the carriages by a sliding cross-member 8 allowing lateral movement of the feet or the girder. <IMAGE>
