PURPOSE: To enhance the output power with a simple arrangement, by directly coupling a second turbine part in a fan drive turbine device including a first turbine part, with a fan part through the intermediary of a fan drive shaft, and by coupling the first turbine part with the fan drive shaft through a gear device. CONSTITUTION: A turbofan engine 10 incorporates a fan part 12, a booster compressor 14, a core part having a high pressure compressor, and a fan drive turbine device having a fan drive turbine 18, which are arranged in the mentioned order. The fan drive turbine 18 is composed of first and second turbine parts 20, 22 which are rotated, independent from each other, and the second turbine part 22 is directly coupled to the fan part 12 through a fan drive shaft 24. Further, the engine 10 has a gear device having a gear box 28 provided in rear of the core part 16, and the gear box 28 is coupled to a drum 30 of the turbine part 20 by a manner indicated by a line 32. Further, the gear box 24 is coupled to the shaft 24 so as to transmit an output power from the first turbine part 20 to the shaft 24.
