摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To obtain a cursor control mechanism utilizing an electric detecting system for deciding a position and movement by spirally covering a shaft with first and second conductor elements in an opposite direction and comparing the output from the conductor element arranged parallelly with the covered conductor member of both. CONSTITUTION: The cursor control mechanism is provided with a cylindrical shaft 10 and two different flexible conductor sheets 12 and 14 spirally covers around it. The flexible conductor sheets 12 and 14 are composed of plural flexible conductor strings 16, 18, 20 and 22 and all of them are mounted on a flexible insulated sheet 24. By comparing the mutual change of the output of a lower side between with the connection plates 52 and 54 of both, the moving direction of a cylinder is decided to obtain information necessary for supplying control voltage for the cursor of a display. Thereby, mechanism devices for leading out a position detecting output are reduced and the cursor control mechanism utilizing the electric detecting system for deciding the position and movement is obtained.</p>
