Apparatus for transporting cops and tubes between planes changing in the course of transport

In the case of a link between spinning and winding machines, it is often necessary to transport cops and tubes, which stand vertically on pallets, between planes changing in the course of transport. A high flexibility as regards the transport planes and directions of transport and a high transport capacity are desirable here. According to the present invention, carriers, each with two parallel supporting surfaces lying in one plane, are provided for the transport of the pallets. At the same time, the distance between the supporting surfaces, although smaller than the width of the pallets, is nevertheless larger than the transverse dimension of receiving or transferring conveyor belts. The supporting surfaces are mounted rotatably on separate pull means which can be operated in synchronism. The transport means are guided on the receiving side and the transfer side in between the supporting surfaces. This apparatus according to the invention allows continuous movement of the carriers, with the result that a high transport capacity is achieved. <IMAGE>
