PURPOSE:To always provide the stable control of ignition timing which causes the maximum torque by feedback-controlling ignition timing so as to eliminate the deviation between the calculated and target values of the maximum angle of a cylinder inner pressure rising rate, and setting its control gain so that it may become different in advance angle and delay angle directions. CONSTITUTION:A pressure sensor 14 is used in place of the washer of an ignition plug 11 to take out the change in cylinder inner pressure as an electric signal. A controller 12, which is formed out of a micro-computer, for example, inputs a suction air amount signal S1 from an air flow meter 2, a water temperature signal S2 from a water temperature sensor 6, a crank angle signal S3 from a crank angle sensor 7, a throttle full-opening signal, a pressure signal S6 from a pressure sensor 14, etc. Moreover, it calculates the crank angle for setting a cylinder inner pressure rate to the maximum from the crank angle and pressure signals S3, S6 and feedback-controls ignition timing so that it may coincide with a target value to set the gain of the feedback control to different values in advance angle and delay angle directions. |
