PURPOSE:To allow anyone to easily light up auxiliary illumination by setting a photographing line at a video camera, switching a diaphragm to a illuminating mode by an arithmetic processing means to be made built-in the video camera based on subject luminance, lighting up the photographing light, regulating a light quantity, and obtaining suitable exposure. CONSTITUTION:Subject light is made incident through a photographing lens 3, an optical low pass filter 14 on a CCD 15. The CCD 15 converts the subject light, photoelectrically, and sends it to a video signal processing part 19. An AE arithmetic part 23 calculates a suitable exposure value based on a luminance signal, and sends it to a CPU 17. Since a mechanical shutter mechanism is not used and a shutter speed is fixed at 1/60sec to a field accumulating time, the exposure is regulated only by the aperture regulation of a diaphragm 12. Consequently the CPU 17 calculate a diaphragm value based on the suitable exposure value, and compares the suitable diaphragm value with the released diaphragm value of the photographing lens 3 (for example, f 1.4). |
