The push-pull circuit for D-A converter output has pull-up transistor and pull-down transistor connected in series between positive and negative supply voltages. The circuit provides a maximum magnitude output voltage by producing a minimum magnitude voltage drop between a power supply voltage and a maximum value of output voltage level, and is operable at a large difference betwen the power supply voltage and a second power supply voltage and a second power supply voltage. The difference results in collectorto-emitter voltages that substantially exceed the normal collectorto-emitter breakdown voltage of a pump transistor and a pulldown transistor by producing feedback that reduced the collector current in the pullup or pulldown transistor that is not supplying or sinking output load current.
