A-17517/1+2/CGC 1415 N-HYDROCARBYLOXY HINDERED AMINE LIGHT STABILIZERS SUBSTITUTED WITH PHOSPHORUS MOIETIES N-Hydrocarbyloxy derivatives of phosphorus substituted 4-amino- and 4-hydroxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine are effective light stabilizers for polymer compositions. These phosphorus compounds include phosphites and cyclic phosphites such as 1,3,2-dioxaphospholanes, 1,3,2-dioxa-phosphorinanes, 1,3,2-oxazaphospholidines, 1,3,2-diaza-phospholidines, 1,3,2-dioxaphosphocins, 1,3,2-dioxaphosphe-pins and 2,4,8,10-tetraoxa-3,9-diphosphaspiro¢5,5!-undecanes.
